Tano Martini began his culinary journey in 1964 at the Torretta, a trattoria in the center of Mantua, which he managed together with his mother Rina.

Since 1969, in the heart of Gonzaga’s Mantua, Tano and his wife Alessandra have been offering at his restaurant Il Cigno, an excellent local cuisine wisely balanced between recipes of paupers and princes.

The first in Mantua, the Martini family has based their offering on traditional recipes and on the rediscovery of dishes and flavors linked to the historic recipes of the Gonzagas.

The encounter with tradition, within the warmth of an old lordly house, is therefore revealed in all its satisfying purity, solidity and richness.
